18th Annual - Milpitas Art & Wine Summer Festival

This two day festival sponsored by the Milpitas Chamber of Commerce offers entertainment, food, drink and lots of fun for the entire family.  There is no admission fee, entrance is free. And, there is plenty of free parking within one block of the festival site.

Click on the stars above to learn more about the 2005 Milpitas Art and Wine Summer Festival. This years festival will take place on August 20th and 21st on S. Milpitas Blvd. one block south of Calaveras Blvd.

Over 100 artisans with their unique hand-made crafts, 14 different domestic wines from local wineries plus selected international wines, 30 types of food, activities for the kids, FREE musical entertainment on two stages and numerous community booths promise a weekend of fun and excitement for the entire family.  Stop by the KFRC Van on Sunday for a chance to win some cool prizes

This year's festival will be featuring multi-cultural talent on the Main Stage both days. Maxx Cabello and his band will entertain you Saturday at 1:00 p.m.   PT and the Cruzers will perform from 4-6 on Saturday.  The widely followed Hitmen will close out the festival on Sunday afternoon.  They will be presenting a dynamic showcase saluting the mega-hits of that great dance fever era of the 70's and early 80's.  South Bay School of Music Arts will be returning to feature their varied musical repertoire on the Community Stage located near Turquoise Street both days.  These talented young entertainers are a real treat to watch.

On Sunday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. the San Jose Earthquakes will be running their youth skills competition the Sierra Mist/MLS Dribble, Pass & Score - The Official Youth Skills Competition of MLS!  A fun, free competition for boys and girls in four age groups (6-7, 8-9, 10-11, and 12-14).  And "Q", the Earthquake's Mascot will make an appearance from 1:30-2:30 and again from 3:00-4:00 on Sunday.  An Earthquakes player will be signing autographs from 2:00-3:00.

The festival includes entertainment and enjoyment for all ages.  Look for many fun-filled activities for the little ones.  If you're looking for something the entire family can do, take a tour through the Fire Department's Safe House or have your children finger-printed FREE at the Police Department's Command Van.  You won't want to miss the old time fire engine Leapin' Lena retored by the Milpitas Historical Society.  The A.J. Robinson mobile health screening unit, run by the Lions Clubs of Santa Clara County and staffed by volunteer doctors and other healthcare workers, will be at the festival to provide free vision, hearing, blood pressure and diabetes screenings.  For fun, excitement, hands-on activities, and educational enjoyment, you'll find it all at the Milpitas Art & Wine Summer Festival.

Business Row will allow local business and community groups to showcase there products and services. Don't forget to treat yourself to a cooling break in the Mist Room.  If you're a bicycle enthusiast, you'll be pleased to hear there will be a FREE, secured, bicycle corral offered by the City of Milpitas Bicycle Commission located at the corner of Los Coches and S. Milpitas Blvd.

 International food specialties will please your palate when you taste gourmet delights prepared by community groups and local restaurants located throughout the festival.  From Kettle Korn to Steak Sandwiches, and Artichokes to Kahlua Port, you'll be pleased with the food selection at the festival.  As you can see, you won't want to miss the summer fun, so plan now to attend the Milpitas Art & Wine Summer Festival, August 20th and 21st from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on S. Milpitas Boulevard one block south of Calaveras Blvd. (SR 237).
